Interfaith Peace Dialogue and Humanitarian Assistance

We journeyed to Southern Kaduna, on 14th October 2021. We were invited by the Community of Sant’Egidio Nigeria, for an interfaith peace dialogue, and humanitarian assistance.

In the early hours of that fateful day, our team journeyed to Zonkwa, to deliver some relief items to the displaced survivors of violent conflicts in Southern Kaduna, who took shelter at Mercy IDP camp, Zonkwa.

Items delivered to the camp were made possible by Sant’Egidio Nigeria, in partnership with Belgian Embassy, Abuja. Leaders of the camp who could not hide their joy excitedly told our team lead, Prince Henry Ezike that they could not remember the last time they had enough food to feed the over 5000 women, men, children, and old people taking refuge in the camp.

They thanked our team for coming and appreciated them for providing enough food to sustain the people for a period of time.
