On April 22, 2021, our team visited Christian Faith Academy/High School in Jos South, Plateau State, with a mission to deliver educational materials donated by STEFANOS FOUNDATION.
These materials were provided to us to present to vulnerable Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) students at the school.
Spreading a Culture of Peace – Our Journey with Zawan Community School
At Africare Peace Initiative, we are passionate about promoting peace education and empowering young minds to become agents of change.
On May 31, 2024, we were part of a delegation, led by Mr. Pwakim Jacob Choji, Chairman of the Plateau State Peace Practitioners Network, for a meeting hosted by Maj.-Gen. Abdulsalami Ibrahim, Commander of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) and GOC Third Armoured Division in Jos.
In our efforts to foster peace in conflict-prone communities, our organization visited Miango community in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, where we trained 33 vulnerable Christian and Muslim women and teenage girls in cosmetology and pastry-making.
On October 29th, 2023, we were invited to speak at an event organized by SOS Children’s Village in Zawan Community School, Bukuru, Plateau State.

We journeyed to Southern Kaduna, on 14th October 2021. We were invited by the Community of Sant’Egidio Nigeria, for an interfaith peace dialogue, and humanitarian assistance.
Our team visited Redemption International for the Blind in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, on Monday, May 31, 2021, to better understand the community of persons living with disabilities and to explore potential collaborations for future inclusive projects.
Our journey of demonstrating care to vulnerable families continued on 26th February 2021, when we visited the family of Ruth Babalola, in Katako, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
